In Memory

Marc Kaye

We have lost another precious classmate.  Marc Kaye is finally at rest after his long and hard fought battle with cancer.  We will miss his thoughtfulness, kindness and wonderful sense of humor.  Our hearts go out to his children Michele, Sarah, Jonathan and Rachel.

Services will be held at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 1:30 PM.

This is eerie.  It was either yesterday (4/24/25) or the day before that Marc came to my mind, as I remembered not seeing him at the 55th last September, and wondered how he was doing.

Very sorry to read that he's passed.  I enjoyed seeing, and talking with, him at our reunions through the years.  He had become one of the most centered people from our class, comfortable and certain in his beliefs and place in the world, with kind words for all.

I will miss him, and join in passing along condolences to his family.

He was a " "Gute Neshume". May his memory be for a blessing

I've thought of Marc several times during this time of assault on our Constitution, as:  He was the Star Pupil in our eighth grade course on the Constitution, taught at BV by Mr. Schaefer.  There was a running tab of the "most points earned" by all the students.  The student with the most points didn't have to take the Final.  Nobody could touch Marc's total!  He topped us all.....by far!
Sorry to hear of his passing.  Too soon!  R.I.P. Marc!

Marc came to Beverly Vista  sometime around fifth grade. We, his pre-teen classmates, knew he was a nice and friendly guy but REALLY took note of him when he won Mr. Shaver's semester (or was it year?) long competition on the U.S Constitution in 8th grade.

Marc continued to excel academically and professionally throughout his life, all the while maintaining humility, compassion, loyalty to family and friends, and his sense of humor.  He loved deeply -- his wife Renee, Judaism and Israel, Stanford, history, reading, music, his childhood house on Rodeo Drive across from Phil Savenick's, and especially his children.

Marc is an example for all of us on how to live and, yes, how to face death and dying.  We honor you, Marc, and will miss you.

I, too, remember Marc and his conquering of the Constitution in 8th grade. No one could touch him. But he never bragged about it. I do wonder what his thoughts had been on the assault on the Constitution under the current administration. He made quite an impression on me in 8th grade and awakened an interest in the Constitution which I still going strong today. He will be missed.
