This is a note from Lee's son:
Early Wednesday morning, Lee (Keiter) passed away following a multi-year engagement with cancer. From her son on Facebook:
"We all thought that she'd live through this -- even yesterday, as we spoke to her as for the last time; it was clear even in the worst situation she had the fight in her eyes. But if she can't be here for real, I know she's with all of us in spirit -- not just her family, but the many, many, many, many, many friends scattered all over the world."

Lee and I met for a second time after high school when we were grownups. She moved into a house two doors away from us. We only had one child then, but Matthew was the same age as one of her sons. Two months later we put our home on the market and moved. We knew each other from the Mommy Commection. Lee became best friends with one of my friends.
Lee was a fantastic mother and friend. Bits of stories confirmed that. I am so sorry.

I just saw this posting and I am so sad to hear of Lee's passing. I remember going to dinner with she and her parents for her 16th birthday. We went to Scandia and it was a special evening which I remember so clearly. May her memory be a blessing.
