This message from Vicki Sanders Kipper on January 15, 2105:
To my BHHS classmates...I'm so sad to tell you that we lost a very special classmate. Robert Irmas passed away this morning. I've lost a dear friend...he was a funny, irreverent, kind man. He was an exceptional dad to his four children. What a loss for us all.
I am glad to have known Robert and his family for many decades...as neighbor, classmates, and friends. He will leave a lasting legacy to many friends, family and associates. May he rest in peace.
This is very sad news. Rob was a great friend and a kind and generous person. We were closest in the 70's when we shared an apartment, had matching corvettes and started our careers in law enforcement. Rob was a true positive force in the world and will be missed by many. Rest in peace Rob.
I echo the thoughts of so many of us who knew Bob. I have been trying to find the words to express the deep sadness I feel knowing that Bob has passed. I had the privilege to have known him since first grade at El Rodeo, walked home together on 'yellow alert' days, knew his parents and sister, and then, after having lost touch, I had the good luck to run into him again at a business seminar years ago. I was not surprised whatsoever to hear first hand from him about the remarkable work he was doing to help displaced and homeless people in LA.
Bob was a gentle spirit and a very kind and loving man. We have all lost a wonderful man.
What a loss, gone way too soon. Rob was a kind and gentle man with a biting sense of humor. This world is a better place because of him. Rob stood for what was right, and with honor. He will be missed, thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Robert: I had no idea you were suffering a such a young age, I thought about you and missed you at the reunion. You were a wonderful friend growing up. Always we kidded about being a "wise guy." You grew up to be a wise man and leader and someone who commanded great respect. Rest in peace. Your friend, Mick.
Robert was a very special guy. Always involved, caring about the quality of llife in our community, and willing to take the time to connect with old friends!! He wanted to make a difference in the world... and he did! He will be dearly missed!!
Although I did not know Robert, I send my thoughts and prayers to all those who are mourning his lose. It is so very sad that more and more classmates are passing. Life if very precious. Enjoy every moment that you are blessed with health, family, and good friends.

My heart is broken in half by the sad news of Rob's passing.
He was the first to reach out to me on FB and our touch
continued beyond it. I enjoyed his humor and his kind
spirit. He was my fave LA Mexican restaurant guide.
I will remember him always & vividly soaring on his sky-
diving adventure (bucket list, check). He will be missed!
