Toni Stokes

Tees!  Thanks for the prompt Lon!  Aka all the other names it was called, became home to a few of us that last half of the 60's.  Toni was one of those...and her independence and freedom were inspirational.  Having lived most of my life as a wandering surf/fish-gypsy, and still living mostly fulltime on the Mexican coast, it was an early lesson learned.  Much love and light to you dear one!

Well this is upsetting. Toni was an icon to we surfers at Tee's. I never knew her and never spoke to her. But I damn well knew who she was! My fondest memory of her was three and four of us guys piling into the back seat of someone's car circa 1968 summer and Toni and Roxanne Shepard playfully jumped in on top of us. She asked me if she was too heavy and I said no you're just right. She smiled and laughed. That's the way I'd like to remember her. RIP sweet Toni
